Only 1 month away!

We are nearing our official opening of the open water season, our first guests arrive in only 1 month. It has been a faster than usual spring warm up, so hopefully the walleye are biting in full force come that third Satuday in May. Some groups are coming in a little early to get going with the excellent lake trout bite that goes from now to late May.
We have been busy getting a jump start on some updates and renovations around the camp, taking advantage of this early thaw. Few of our projects include replacing some of the cabin decks with new ones, adding a selection to our tackle shop, and something new for this season is we have created a nice little recreation/gathering room with a few games to pass the time when you hit one of those undesirable windy, rainy, summer days and it is too rough to get out on the water.
Other than these projects, we are looking forward to another great year of fishing for 2012!
